Tragedies aren't all bad, they present the opportunity to vilify scapegoats. We kinda knew that would happen eh?

It was inevitable . The events that led to this explosion are amazing. The 5 loco with 78 tankers parked up a hill . The conductor says he applied hand brakes to tankers and leaves loco running with air breaks and takes taxi to town . Fire underneath engine. Firemen turn off engine extinguish fire. The engines are not restarted. Then train starts rolling down steep hill and reaches 78 km /Hr in midlle of town.Max speed zone is 10 mph.

    Then this

Brakes, not breaks. Different things entirely.

    Re: O.T. Tragedy Lac M?gantic

what i heard a few weeks ago was that this is sabotage.

and those that caused this are gearing up to blame 'treehuggers'.

truth is this is the effects of turf wars

    by energy/oil companys.

the casualtys are strategically caused to disrupt profits.

Music was on tap that night,
with chansonniers Yvon Ricard and Guy Bolduc performing.
A group of 20 friends were celebrating a birthday.

    some of the missing -

When Mr. Gagn? left the bar, there were about 50 customers inside and 30 on the patio.
Some would have gone home before the derailment, but dozens remained.

“They won’t find anyone [alive],” he said.
    “It’s impossible.
    People are waiting for news,
but a fire at that temperature, nothing remains.

    It melts cars.”
